SOPA and PIPA

I think it is alright for these websites to do this. Their exsistence is totally based around what people search and post. And the internet is something for the people, if some people don't like it they shouldn't use it, or find their own way around it. they shouldn't mess with other online entities like wikipedia.

How I made my PSA Video

I made my PSA video by first recording my voice, after drastically shortening my script over and over again. Then I used adobe premiere to put down my voice in the audio slot, and then using pictures that I found online, I matched them up to the correct audio segment, ajusted them as nesscary to it. Finally I posted it on You Tube as PSA Final Video.

PSA Intent

My presentation will be informative, using like a power point to illustarte and explain things. I will start off introducing my project, and then say what problems it will help to fix. Then I will elaborate on those issues, explaing them. After that I will have slides to show have my project will actually inform them. It will be more of a slide show with visual text accompany them, maybe with a voice over reading the text. The video will not have a real serious tone, but it won't be comic really either.

How to Write a PSA Review

This was an interesting article that provided me with some helpful insights, into how I should make my PSA for my project. Such as keeping my PSA shorter by not elaborating on all the little details, could be a good thing and help keep my audiences attention. It was also nice that the articles explained what exactly a PSA was. I will probably use some of this stuff in my PSA.

Preliminary Identification of Presntation

i. My capstone project will include a computer made model, which will be used as an explanatory prop.

ii. I will probably display my material through use of a stand for two reasons. One: it almost garantees that I will have enough room to present my project. And two: people observing it will not get crowed as easily so it will be easier for them to view it.

iii. As I said above I will be making a 3D model on my computer to show to people.

iv. A suit is probably what I am going to where. Because my project does not fully fall under just one job type.

v. The important points I need to hit in my verbal presentation are how my project will effect people, the economy, and the environment.

vi. I may or may not be presenting a brochure, if I do not I will probably have a poster or a sheet that is large enough that several people will be able to look at it at the same time, and that will out line my topic.

vii. I may include animation just to better illustrate how some of the less obvious eco-friendly energy collection devices work.

Discussing the look and feel issue

A. The presentation for this project will not really use comedy or seriousness in it. Although one could say that it would be leaning more to the serious side of things.

B. The presentation itself will have lighter colors making up its background, unless of course the building or item being shown blends to well with it, in which case I will brobably use a light gray. In short calmer colors that give emphasis to the items on display. As you can probablt deduce I intend to use photos or concept images of what a green mega-city should look like, and diagrams or schematics of eco-friendly enegy gathering devices.

C. The stuff on the site should be persuasive in that it will get you thinking on what is being disscussed. But what should really be drawing people in are the pictures of what this could look like.

D. I intend to make my point of view understood, by elaborating on its virtues and letting my audience know its advatages, while not stressing as much this projects flaws like the fact that it could take a long time to complete, or the huge amounts of initial rescources it will take to start it.

But hey, you have to give to get, right?

E. I am intending to create a clean and economic presentation, leading up to a prototype model for what I want to create.

Green Mega-city

Statement of Intent:

1.The goals of this project which is the creation of a green (eco-friendly) Mega-city are as follows:
  • To better organize and construct cities that are both ergonomical and easily navigable.
  • To help bring about a more green society.
  • To reduce pollution, caused by various activities we preform now.
  • And to increase global green space (parks and stuff), so that we are not destroying or using as much of our environment.
     2. This is important to take steps to preform this end goal now so that our future generations are not living in an unstable world that has become over crowded and over polluted. It is of great importance that we transistion over to cleaner forms of energy, and that we stop our spread outwards and start to go up inorder to increase or preserve what green space is left on our planet.

3.I want to be an architech, this green mega-city fits in with this career goal, in that I will be designing this cities layout and designing  some of its buildings.

     4. A project like this would allow for the mass employment of thousands of workers. the job boom will be unprecedented. We will need architects and engineers to design and develope, construction workers to build, people to run and work in these various buildings after they are completed. Even farmers will benefit not just the people in the cities themselves, because the cities will need food and with the extra green space the farmers will have to work with they can produce more crops, and hire more hands.

     5. Once this project is completed or just even started people will have jobs and new homes and opportunities. Our economy will no longer be focused on fossil fuels inner city trade should prospur as well as trade between the cities. And the environment, the environment will be great it may take awhile but it will increase in green space, and we won't be using as many harmful pollutants, in fact at some point we may not even use any pollutants at all.
